Matthew 4:4
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Matthew 7:7-11
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord ..."
Contrary to the belief of most people in the world, God is very much concerned with the little details of our lives, however mundane they may be.
When He speaks, He is not always heard. When He answers prayers, He is not always recognised. When He fulfils all our needs as a good father would, He is not always noticed or credited.
But for those who do realise, recognise, and perceive His activities in their lives, blessed are their eyes, ears, and hearts - for they will have the knowledge of His truth and the realisation of their need of Him - from which will flow all the glory, honour, and praise to Him.
In the early years of my existence, I was blind to God's activities in my life, but I found that as I grew closer to Him over the years, I have become sensitive to Him. As I seek Him, I now hear His instructions, feel His presence, and see His hand over the tiniest things in my daily life.
The stories in this section tell of God's interest in us and in our lives. He is such an incredible God!
