The Holy Spirit

John 14:16-17

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

John 15:26

26 “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.

John 16:13-14

13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Triune Godhead. He is the One who roams the earth and indwells all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Many Christians have relationships with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the first and second persons of the Godhead), but neglect to have one with the Holy Spirit. I was one such Christian until the day I was baptised in the Holy Spirit.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit transformed my life forever! I could never have known that I could be in love with the Holy Spirit just as I was with the Lord Jesus.

My experiences of the Holy Spirit are beyond words. He manifests to me in many different ways, but one stands out from the rest - it is His undeniably beautiful scent. The scent that would often linger around me, but astoundingly also in my sinuses. He truly is living inside of me!

The relationship with the Holy Spirit is life-changing. Where I was once "lukewarm", I am now on fire for God. Where my life was once mundane, it is now filled with the love and power of God. My Christianity became alive!

It is, therefore, my privilege and pleasure to share with you my personal testimonies of the Holy Spirit in this section, but you may also find that He is very much in all the other stories on this site. May these stories inspire you to cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit, if you haven't already.
