Healing and Deliverance
Mark 16:15-20
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
Matthew 8:18
16 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.
Mark 1:32-34
32 That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. 33 The whole town gathered at the door, 34 and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.
Does Jesus still heal today? Some seem to think so, whilst some others do not.
In my own experience, I have come to believe that signs and wonders of healing and miracles manifest when:
We step out in faith as Jesus commanded to help those whose hearts are genuinely hungry, desperate for the Lord, repentant and humble.
In His sovereignty, the Lord chooses to reveal Himself in such a supernatural way because He is full of grace and mercy.
The stories in this section give glimpses of people, from the skeptical to the desperate, receiving healing and deliverance from God.
