Introduction
In the wake of the Covid virus pilaging throughout the world, claiming so many lives in the early 2020s, covid vaccines were developed to tackle this unprecedented pandemic.
Indeed, the pandemic laid the perfect stage for the vaccines to be seen as a plausible rescue mission, but it was also the perfect stage to drive fear into so many people - particularly the fear of the covid virus, and the fear of death. Upon these, it was thus easy to manipulate people - to agree to being vaccinated.
And so, in many countries around the world, vaccines were mandated by those in authorities to be taken by everyone whether they had covid or not. The idea proposed by them was that the vaccines would protect the people from the covid virus, at least to a degree, and/or to minimise the need for hospitalisation if they were unfortunate enough to have caught the virus.
A Controversy
Vaccines were quickly developed in record time and administered to people worldwide with very little testing and trials performed. Unfounded confidence and reliability in the vaccines as being "safe" to take were broadcast to win the trust of the people.
(Amongst much that was claimed, one example is the vaccine developed by Pfizer who used the mRNA technology - they claimed that their vaccine does not change the DNA of the person.)
Many bought into the confidence that was presented to them with no question, whilst others were sceptical and rebellious to the mandate. This resulted in divisions of many around the world; the cause of arguments and anger in the community - even in the church!
My Personal Conviction
On the first day that vaccines were mentioned by the scientists and the authorities, the Holy Spirit was quick to warn me not to take the vaccine. I communicated this to my family and friends. After all, one cannot untake a vaccine once it has been taken - something that needs to be seriously considered before making the decision. Some of my friends accepted and agreed with my conviction, but some others went against it and later took the vaccines.
Of course, everyone has their freewill to choose whether or not to get vaccinated, but some were unfairly forced to take it because it was mandated for the jobs they did.
Nevertheless, I fought tooth and nail to convince my family not to take it. It was not an easy task, especially as my brother who worked for the NHS was threatened to lose his job if he refused to be vaccinated. I told him to hold on and not to take it. He had only a few days to take the vaccine, when the mandate was suddenly lifted. This was a miracle! He escaped the vaccine!
